Private Versailles Bike Tour
Perfectly Crafted for You
The Private Versailles Bike Tour is all about you, and just as no two people are the same, we believe no two tours should be the same.
Travelling with children? Claiming our title of ‘better than Disneyland’ we guarantee fun, laughter and a full day of entertainment for your family.
Planning a romantic day for two? While the story of Versailles is a tragedy, there is no denying the romance of French history, gardens, cycling, wine & cheese. And as hopeless romantics, we may have arranged a proposal or two…
Hen’s do, family gatherings, college reunions, a getaway with friends, we will customize an unforgettable day just for you.
What to Expect
Together we will escape the crowds of Paris to discover the local town of Versailles, whose history has been beautifully preserved. A quintessential French town, with a bustling food market at the heart of it.
Explore the breath-taking gardens
We will cruise through the expansive, stunning grounds of Versailles and wander through the world famous Royal Gardens. Hidden in the far corner of the Versailles grounds we will explore Marie Antoinette’s hideaway – a life size doll house created for the most notorious Queen in French history. We will lay our picnic beside the Grand Canal, far from the crowds, where you can enjoy your spoils from the local market, and experience Versailles the French way.
Skip the line to visit the Château
And of course, the pièce de résistance, we will skip the notorious lines to Château. Your professional guide will then share with you the famous Hall of Mirrors, the King’s bedroom, the Queen’s Apartments and much more.

It is almost as if Versailles was designed with our bike tour in mind. The majority of our ride takes place within the Royal Gardens, where we can enjoy stress-free cycling, far from the traffic and crowds. Outside of the gardens, cycle paths weave their way throughout the town and are set on the footpaths, away from traffic.
We meet at a café in central Paris: Le Paris Montparnasse Café, 43 Avenue du Maine, 75014 Paris.
The café is across the road from Gare Montparnasse train station, which has excellent metro connections on lines 6, 12, 4 & 13. We recommend using the app CityMapper to best navigate the metro while you are in Paris, it is free to download & you can save journeys to use offline. Input the exact address to avoid any confusion – there are a few cafés with similar names! Do feel free to come earlier for a coffee & croissant to kick start your day.
Once in Versailles we saddle up on bikes that are stored at our base in Versailles.
Of course. All our tours of Versailles include a guided tour of the Palace with a fully licensed member of our team. We do not abandon you with an audio guide. We use earpieces so you can hear your guide, can ask questions & don’t miss a thing! If there is one Palace in the world to visit, this is the one!
Absolutely not, our bikes are located in Versailles.
