What to Expect

Why walk with the crowds & stand in line when you can ride a bike & skip the line?

We take the train to Vernon, hop on bikes for a leisurely ride, stopping to pick up lunch in the charming local town. You will then take countryside paths & bridges across the Seine River. The views are idyllic before even reaching the famous village and gardens of Claude Monet. Along the way we will stop in our favourite spot to enjoy a picnic lunch and relax. If you join us on a Saturday, we will also stop in to visit the local open air food market to pick up your picnic lunch.

There is no better way to explore a well-travelled destination and yet feel completely separate from the crowds. To be inspired by Giverny the way that Monet was.

Once we reach the village of Claude Monet, we will explore the flower garden (Clos Normand), the famous Japanese inspired lily pond and Monet’s iconic bridge.

We will then explore the house, each room with its array of colours, styles, furniture & art work. It is like walking into the mind of the famous artist himself.

Riding through the local village we will stop at artists’ studios, quaint cafés, the famous hotel Baudy & the cemetery where Monet is buried. Finally we take a fast, comfortable train back to central Paris.
