Speaking to CBS Face the Nation President Macron says France is “finalising” plans to ease restrictions for vaccinated European and American travellers.

When will restrictions in France lift?

France aims to lift current restrictions from the beginning of May. The vaccination program is picking up speed with all adults to be offered a vaccine by the end of the summer.

France is working hard to propose a concrete solution to create the best possible circumstances for travel to France this summer. Macron announced US and European citizens who are vaccinated or have a negative PCR test will be able to travel to France. Talks are ongoing with the White House, and a European travel passport is in the making.

France will ‘team up’ with the United States to control the virus, maximize vaccinations, lift restrictions and look to a brighter future. Macron announced this partnership aims to contribute to the vaccination of the rest of the world.
